Tasting Notes

It starts out with a smoke and earth driven nose that gives in to ripening black, sweet cherries. Because this wine is aged in 80% French oak and 20% American oak, there are lovely spice notes and well integrated tannins that provide a supple and round mouthfeel. A finish of tart cranberry adds balanced acidity that makes for a wine that can hold its own in the cellar for years to come.
