Crafted from 100% Home Malted Barley, this limited edition expression celebrates one of The Balvenie's most distinctive crafts. Inspired by the pioneering spirit first awakened in 1931, it offers a contemporary interpretation of our enduring commitment to making whisky by hand.

From Malt to Cask - The Twelve Year Old single malt whisky's profile takes inspiration from the 1931 COLLECTION'S rarest expression: the honeyed depth, warming spice and rich, velvety character that define the Eighty Eight, reimagined through a younger, more accessible whisky shaped by the same spirit of craft.

First cask: American oak. Many years of initial maturation in traditional American oak whisky casks mellows the maturating spirit and imparts warming layers of vanilla spiciness.

Second cask: Ex-sherry Bodega European Oak. Highly prized in sherry making, these casks have been used throughout our long history and sourced from the same region as the original 1931 cask.
